Relais du Silence hotel Barbabuc

The hills, vineyards, little villages, and castles and churches on the mountaintops make the area lovely to explore by bike. Back at the hotel, our cozy room was comfortable, with a nice shower and bathroom and comfy beds. There was room for my yoga mat too. The staff made us feel at home. I could hear the kitchen staff singing along with the radio, which gave me that Italian opera feeling despite the different music. A happy chef must make great food! The flavors were very pure and balanced, service was quick, and the wine selection was excellent. I'd love to come back next year.

We arrived in the afternoon and Laura greeted us so warmly. She even helped us park our large car. Dinner was excellent: asparagus crepe and gnocchi with cheese. Many thanks to Laura, Dennis, and Albina for their wonderful hospitality 🫶.

The wine selection is perfect, and it was fun to see the “cellar” and choose from all those local options. We felt right at home, with great conversation, amazing drinks, and phenomenal food. Laura made our trip better than I could've dreamed. If you're in the area, you must must must stop by.

We were only in Novello for a short time, but my wife and I managed to enjoy three dinners at Casa Barbabuc. Every meal was as rewarding as the one before, with delicious food and excellent presentation. The server and owner was delightful, and we enjoyed her company. Prices are very reasonable too. We highly recommend this restaurant.
