The view is fantastic, and the new apartments are very pleasant. Air conditioning is a real plus. The sea is about a 12-minute walk away, but I didn’t mind that extra walk on vacation. The furnishings are a bit sparse, and more storage would help. A microwave would be useful since there’s no oven, and a shared washing machine would round things out. There’s space for a laundry area under the shared garden porch. With those additions, I’d give it 5 stars.

We weren’t satisfied. The terrace was the one redeeming feature, but it wasn’t really private to our apartment since other residents used it as a passageway. The apartment was dirty when we got it, and we found a towel and razor blade left by the previous guest, which is especially concerning in COVID times. There was a water leak, and plaster was crumbling off the wall. The towels were badly worn and stained in ways that wouldn’t come out, and a couple even had holes. The price was truly exorbitant for this place, and despite a written reminder, they didn’t give us a receipt.

The dated furnishings didn’t match what the photos suggested, and the apartment wasn’t thoroughly clean when we arrived. Previous guests had left items in the refrigerator. I did like the terrace, but the price felt high for what was offered, though that’s my subjective view. The main issue is that they never provided an invoice, despite repeated reminders. I’ll report it to the authorities, and I think everyone should.

You’ll need a car to see all the beaches around the Conero, since this place isn’t right by the sea. Still, it’s in a quiet area with a beautiful view. The apartment has been renovated well, and the owner was helpful. I’d suggest adding a way to close the wardrobe and tidying up the garden.
