Residence Le Palme

The apartments aren’t the most modern, but they’re clean, practical, and well equipped for a relaxing stay. I’ve been coming to the Residence for years and always enjoy it. The location is convenient, and the breakfast and aperitif at the bar are excellent.

There’s a bar on site that works well for breakfast or a relaxed aperitif, while the apartments still give you private entrances and your own space. Le Palme is in a quiet, breezy spot, convenient for the beaches of Marcelli, about a 10-minute walk away.

The little garden was handy, with a drying rack and an outdoor table where we could eat. Our studio was clean and tidy when we arrived, and the location made it easy to walk to the nearby beach. We stayed for 3 nights. The studio had a kitchenette and bathroom; the kitchen was new but short on basics like paper towels, dish towels, and phobic pads. The bed wasn’t very comfortable, the toilet paper holder was broken, and the shower soaked the whole bathroom with no mat.

The only good thing about our week-long stay was how close it was to the beach and other amenities. The rooms were dated, the baseboards broken, the front door wouldn’t shut properly, and the bathroom had no window. It was dirty too. I had to degrease a small pot four times before I could heat my son’s milk. One evening the boiler stopped working, which can happen, but the agency said nobody could come then, so all of us, including three small children, had to take cold showers. There was no air conditioning, the house was at 40 degrees, and the two fans we had were useless and broken. It’s a dump, and that’s putting it kindly. Crazy stuff.
