The host was really friendly, and the B&B is conveniently close to the city centre. Parking on a side street was easy to find. The room was a bit small, though it was decently clean. The bathroom was compact but laid out well, with a nice large shower. I didn’t find the bed comfortable, since I could feel all the springs.

The owner was extremely helpful and accommodating. The B&B is in a quiet neighbourhood, about equally far from the hospital and city centre, with amenities nearby. There’s also easy, free street parking.

We came back that evening to find there was no water. When we called, the manager said they often shut it off for renovation work and told us to wash with bottled water. On a Friday night? Some friends at a nearby B&B had no trouble, perhaps because they had a cistern. Earlier, we’d reported that the fan in the windowless bathroom wasn’t working. The manager said he knew, and when we asked to move, he said a room was free but would need fixing. Nothing was sorted out, and no alternative was offered. I felt cheated. The double bed was two single beds pushed together, with terribly uncomfortable mattresses joined by foam. We chose to have breakfast elsewhere, since the offering here was packaged snacks and vending machine drinks. Through all of this, the owner never even called us. He also forgot to collect our documents. An experience I’d rather forget.

The owner was so kind and helpful, and the kitchen was available for use. We stayed just one night. Our room was spotless, the bathroom was comfortable, and all the linens were provided. Thank you so much :) Monica and Simone
