Breakfast is set up right in the room, with toast, coffee, tea and the rest, and you have everything you need. It's a really cute little apartment, very clean and well equipped.

The lift was extremely loud, and we didn't sleep well.

The owner was genuinely kind and helpful, and I felt well looked after. The apartment is welcoming, well laid out and stocked with just about everything you might need. There are thoughtful extras too, from shower gel and deodorant to aftershave, body lotion and even scampi. I also found lots of great books to read by the large window, which has an enchanting view.

The owner was kind and the room reasonably clean, but the stay was extremely uncomfortable, and the price felt completely out of proportion to the quality. Some sites wrongly list it as a hotel. It's an attic space in a five-story building. The entrance is on the same landing, beside the elevator engine room, and the motors made a deafening noise that carried into the apartment. The queen-size bed sits in the lowest part of the attic, about 1 m up, and we hit our heads on the sloping walls several times because we weren't used to the low clearance. On arrival, the water from the taps was brown because the old heater was rusty inside. It was replaced that same day after we asked, but we couldn't use the water at first. On departure day, we were abruptly woken at 5:30 am by the cleaner banging the floor-cleaning machine against the apartment door while cleaning the landings and stairs. Breakfast was very modest: snacks that certainly weren't branded, yogurt and juices bought at Conad.
