La Maison De Toyen

Maison de Toyen is in the hamlet of Nus, and we really enjoyed our stay. The owner was kind and easy to talk to, with plenty of useful suggestions for places to see and restaurants to try, and was happy to accommodate our requests. The apartment was spacious and lovely, with warm wooden furnishings, and the heating kept it comfortable. It’s well equipped and in a quiet area, so I’d recommend it.

We had a really relaxing stay in this peaceful little hamlet, with ancient roots. The garden door even says "1814". The apartment is only a few kilometers from Nus, which overlooks the valley, and it’s a great starting point for visiting the towns and mountain passes around the valley. Inside, it’s very well kept and has thoughtful, elegant mountain furnishings. There’s a washing machine, drying rack, dishwasher, oven, microwave, and a small private garden. The owner was extremely courteous and helpful, as were the fellow villagers who showed us to the property. An excellent holiday, one we’d repeat.

It’s a quiet little hamlet, away from the city bustle, and the apartment’s central spot in the valley makes it quick to get to Aosta and the main attractions. The apartment was clean and nicely furnished, with a kitchen, washing machine, and dishwasher. Just be aware there’s no Wi-Fi, and 4G only reaches the garden.

My wife and I stayed here while visiting the Sant'Orso Fair. It’s a few minutes by car from Nus, and makes a great base for getting to Aosta or the Saint Barthélemy valley and its astronomical observatory.
