Really good service, and the staff were great.

Breakfast was very good, served right at our table on the terrace. Our room was comfortable and had a little balcony facing Lake Maggiore. The staff at this family-run hotel were very welcoming. The only bother was the heatwave: even with the fans they provided, we had to leave the windows open, and the road noise got annoying.

Good value for the price. The hotel is modest, but really pleasant, with free parking, a restaurant and a small shop on site. The rooms are a bit old-fashioned, though spotless and tidy, and each has a small balcony looking over the lake. There's a beach across the road. Breakfast was tasty and enough for us.

We've been back three times since 2016, and the rooms have always been very clean and nicely furnished. Breakfast has a huge choice of sweet and savory food, and it's excellent. The terrace has a stunning lake view, which you can enjoy in the evening with a wood-fired pizza and a good glass of wine at the hotel restaurant. The location also works well for seeing Lake Maggiore and the surrounding area. The ferry at Verbania, about 30 minutes away, gets you quickly to the other side. Stresa is roughly 50 minutes away depending on traffic, and the Swiss border is about 45 minutes away.
