Right in the old town, with restaurants all around. Free parking in the backyard was a real bonus. Breakfast was decent, the staff were lovely, and I’d definitely recommend it.

The location was really good, which helped make up for some of the downsides. The room was tiny but clean. None of the receptionists spoke English. The maid took all our towels and soap every day, and often didn’t get around to cleaning the room until late, around 3 or 4 pm. At the breakfast buffet, every single item had sugar in it.

A decent, clean hotel with friendly staff, and an average breakfast. There are lots of nearby cafes with great breakfast, though. If you’re staying here for a night before a flight or the next leg of your trip, it’s a good fit. I was happy with my stay and would come again for one night. Just bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper, because the sound insulation isn’t great and you can hear everything.

My parents are both 70 and stayed here last night. They’d booked ahead, explaining they needed somewhere to rest, yet their room was up an extra set of stairs. It wasn’t very clean, with hair in the bathroom and breadcrumbs, though it was just about acceptable. The bigger problem was that neither the shower nor the toilet had running water. As they tried to work out the shower, water collected on the floor, which could have been dangerous for my mum because she often loses her balance. They left without a shower and are travelling again today. The staff were kind and tried to help, though they seemed unable to do much. Still, why was this room assigned to them? Surely the hotel knew guests had run into these problems before. At €105 a night, a €15 refund for the inconvenience feels very poor. A three-star hotel charging that rate shouldn’t put people in a room that’s unsafe, unclean, and without water in the Sardinian summer.
