The best things are the location, just a few minutes’ walk from the main square, and the private parking. The rest was disappointing. The place feels dated and worn, and the basic room smelled damp. There was no minibar, phone, or minimart at the hotel, although the minibar and phone were advertised in the room. Breakfast was extremely basic, with cheap ingredients, sliced white bread, packaged jam, and a couple of slices of processed ham or cheese. We got no information at check-in. The impression was that the owners felt as tired as the hotel.

The airport transfer left at least 15 minutes before the agreed time. At reception, they blamed me for not being there when it departed, then simply left. Worst experience ever.

STAY AWAY. The village is lovely, so do yourself a favor and book somewhere else nearby. The hotel itself is okay, but the air conditioning doesn’t work in every bedroom. They led me to think a repair person would come, even though they knew it was a lie. Instead of apologizing, they kicked me out when I insisted on changing to a room with working AC. They were racist too, shouting at me in Italian and naming my country.

The village is incredibly beautiful, tucked into the mountains, and the hotel itself is nice. Service, though, was generally poor, which seems to be common in much of Europe.
