Cugnana Porto Rotondo Bungalows - Camping

We spent three days here with our camper, just the two of us, and loved the campsite. You can choose your own pitch, and it’s a large place with lots of shady spots under the trees, so it’s easy to find some peace. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The pool is huge, with very shallow water for kids and a section that goes down to 3 m. There’s a bar selling ice cream and drinks, plus a grass field behind the pool for football. The restaurant at the entrance serves fantastic food at a decent price. The bathrooms and showers aren’t the newest, but they’re very clean and don’t smell. 10/10, would recommend.

We stayed 11 nights and found it very peaceful and relaxed. There are plenty of shady places for tents, and you can pick your own spot. The rates are reasonable, especially for a campsite with such a huge swimming pool. Nice staff, and a great base for seeing north east Sardinia.

Quiet place, nice swimming pool, and plenty of insects. The toilets could be cleaned more often.

The best parts are the location near Olbia and the ferry, the marvelous swimming pool, and staff who are cheerful and ready to help. I’d recommend it for a short stay. It seems to benefit from having no other campsite within about 30 km, though. The site is old and poorly maintained, and the facilities clearly need updating. The narrow, awkward entrance has a roundabout with a huge stone that makes driving in difficult. It also took a few days to get our electricity fixed. The fire alarm rang for at least 30 minutes before staff arrived. They had been told, but still took time to check what was happening. Someone had broken the glass, but using a wooden stick to tamper with a safety device isn’t the way to handle it.
