Hotel For You

Room 209 was spotless and nicely decorated, facing the road with parkland across from the building. It took us a little while to find it, as it was on a stairwell landing. There’s no tea or coffee tray in the room. We arrived early by taxi, finished the paperwork, left our bags at reception, and went out. Breakfast was in a bright, airy restaurant with a good continental spread and a small hot selection, which suited us fine. Reception were also very helpful arranging a taxi to Terra Nova Oblia for our onward trip to Cagliari. The only minor annoyance was having no umbrellas for shade from the sun.

The hotel was clean and breakfast tasted good. They came to clean our room while we were at breakfast, which felt odd, and replaced towels that didn’t really need changing. We didn’t use the bar or pool, so I can’t comment on those.

We had a lovely three night city break at Hotel for You Olbia. Check-in was the friendliest we’ve ever had, and our room had a large raised terrace with wonderful views across the rooftops to the sea and hills. There’s a lovely pool area too, though we didn’t get the chance to try it. Breakfast had the biggest continental selection I’ve ever seen, plus a few hot choices. There were music channels on the TV, but no English language channels. With all those great cakes at breakfast, it would be nice if coffee and cake were available in the lounge in the afternoons, especially in the off season.

The staff were kind and friendly, and breakfast had plenty to choose from. There’s a large swimming pool and a fitness room with exercise machines. It’s also close to downtown, just a few minutes on foot from the bus stop that has a direct service from the airport.
