We toured Sardinia for 12 days and stayed in 8 hotels. This was the worst one, unfortunately on our last night on the island. We're not fussy, we only needed a place to sleep with clean beds and a bathroom. The room price and photos gave no idea of how uncomfortable it would be. Room number 4 had no windows at all. If you need an open window to sleep, the only option is the front door, which didn't feel safe at night in an unfamiliar area. There's air conditioning, but it's right above the children's bed, a problem if you're staying with kids, especially since the room has 4 beds. My first impression was that we had been put in a garage. The €184 we paid didn't reflect the room's true value. The bathroom was the real shock. Black mold covered the shower cabin, walls, and ceiling. Knowing how dangerous it is, I was afraid to wash my child there. The water wouldn't drain either. When we told Maria how shocked we were, she seemed surprised, though that felt unlikely, and said maybe it hadn't been cleaned properly. She promised to come see the room and get back to us. I asked to change rooms. We went out to dinner, but heard nothing by 10 p.m. When we returned, there was anti-mold spray in the room and a strong smell in the windowless bathroom. Nobody explained where or when breakfast, which was included in the price, was served. We got no information about Wifi either. That kind of hospitality leaves you feeling like they've made their money and don't care because they'll never see you again. Shame. Stay away from these apartments.

The home cooked meal we had in the garden was a feast of local delicacies with Sardinian wine, just a few steps from our room. Lunch and dinner can be arranged on request, with wine and other drinks available to buy, and we'd recommend it 100%. The service was a real highlight: management were welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choice, including lots of homemade cakes and pastries. We had a lovely stay at Il Salice. Several beaches are within walking distance, and there's a bus to central Olbia about every 40 minutes, so it's a great beach holiday option without renting a car. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with excellent AC. My mum and I were very happy and would love to come back!

We had a wonderful three-night stay. Roberta did such a good job and made us feel very welcome, and the service was a real highlight. The room was well cared for. Four beaches are within walking distance of the B&B. Bados is one I can recommend. You can walk there in about 15 minutes, or take bus 04, which stops right in front of the beach. Check the schedules in the ASPOS app.

The garden is spacious, with tables and a barbecue, and our room was spotless with a nice bathroom. Dinner portions are enormous, so skip the appetizer or you might be too full for the main course. The food was amazing, clearly made with real passion. Our host went out of her way to make us comfortable. Her English isn't great, but we understood each other just fine. I felt completely looked after the whole time, and she's the best host I've had. I wish I could give more than five stars. If I come back to Sardinia, I'm staying here.
