Park 20 Guesthouse

This booking was a dreadful experience. The apartment was in awful shape and clearly hadn’t been cleaned: dirty sheets, no soap, and toothpaste all over the bathroom mirror. We contacted the host, but got a reply only two hours later, admitting the cleaning had been missed. The only answer we received was that it would be done the following day. The next day came and we still heard nothing from the owner, so we had to leave and find somewhere else ourselves. An absolute scandal, avoid it.

Simply awful. We were stuck outside the room for 40 minutes because someone apparently wanted to save money on the receptionist’s salary. The entry process was bizarre, something I’d never come across before. You have to enter your booking number, fill in all your passport details, and take a photo, and then the system freezes. There was also a sharp, strong smell from some kind of diffuser in the room, and we couldn’t air it out. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone with allergies.

The price was modest and the service very good. The room is old, though someone comes to clean every day.

It’s handy for a night, with air conditioning and only a short walk to the main town area. The place does feel a bit worn and could use some care. Booking yourself in is convenient, but the checkout instructions contradict each other and had us going up and down the stairs trying to work out what to do. The Wi-Fi also came and went.
