Su Gologone Experience Hotel

We didn't stay at Su Gologone, but had such a lovely meal at the restaurant that we came back the next day to see more of the grounds. We had drinks at both bars, admired the art and history on display, took in the stunning views, and browsed the shop full of beautiful handmade goods. We met the owner, Giovanna, and another staff member who seemed to be a manager. I'm so sorry I've forgotten your name! They were both lovely and took plenty of time to tell us about the property, the art, and the items in the shop. You can see how much love and care has gone into this special place.

The architecture, artwork, landscape, flowers, plants, and trees all show such attention to detail, yet the place still feels natural and unmanicured. The service has a five-star feel, while the atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and incredibly beautiful. It was my favorite place I've ever stayed, and I hope to return for longer. I can't recommend it highly enough. We had a beautiful vegetarian set menu in the garden, and after checking out the next morning, we were encouraged to keep using the facilities. The staff were warm and kind, especially Christian, who gave us a tour packed with interesting history about the hotel and local area. Our 24 hours at Su Gologone were wonderful. My only regret is not staying longer.

I stayed here during a motorcycle trip, and it was well worth it. The place is remote, so don't expect much entertainment outside, but there's plenty to do. The views are beautiful, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. After a day of riding, the restaurant was a welcome stop. The attentive staff knew the cuisine well, including the distinctive local dishes and Nepente di Oliena wine. I only found out too late about the museum with its historical highlights, so that's another reason to return. Thanks for a great stay.

Dinner was one of the best parts, with excellent food in a setting that made each evening feel special. Su Gologone has a distinctive, carefully put-together atmosphere, and the whole stay felt authentic. Our first room was cramped and a little dirty. The staff dealt with it well once we mentioned it and moved us to a much nicer, more comfortable suite. Even with that rough start, it was a memorable experience and somewhere we’d recommend for something different.
