There’s a big new mall and some supermarkets nearby, but getting out on foot is awkward. The hotel exit opens straight onto a busy road with no pavement, so you have to wait for a break in traffic and dash across. Drivers weren’t especially courteous. The free breakfast was decent, the usual continental spread. Our room was large and clean enough, and the staff were friendly, though most seemed not to speak English. The real problem was that the Internet didn’t work at all, which wasn’t acceptable in 2019. It wasn’t a terrible stay, but I’ll look elsewhere next time I’m working in Opera.

I paid for a room at the hotel through booking several months ahead. On the day I was due to check in, booking messaged to say the company had made a mistake and that I had to pay another 170€ or they would cancel my reservation. I tried contacting them by message and phone, but got no reply. The hotel didn’t even try to apologize for THEIR mistake. Completely unacceptable. I’m very disappointed, and it was a terrible experience.

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The Egyptian chefs made good-quality food. I recommend trying the pizza made with the special flour called ~al carbone vegetale~, which is black and very easy to digest. ✌🏼😍🇮🇹
