Genziana B&B E Camping Il Vecchio Mulino

The manager’s lack of hospitality was the worst part. He gave us no information and didn’t make himself available to help with guests’ needs. B&B Genziana is a small, cabin-like place in central Opi, where there are no shops, convenience stores, or tobacconists. The room is very small and basic, and the cramped bathroom has no bidet. There’s no Wi-Fi or small fridge, and breakfast isn’t included.

The stay left me very disappointed, especially since it was in an area I love so much. Two of our three rooms had no bidet, and we hadn’t been told in advance. The rooms were poorly cleaned, too. We had booked for four adults and two minors, but arrived to find the rooms unheated and the water cold, so we couldn’t shower before dinner. We reported it promptly, but the manager didn’t come to sort it out himself; we were told the heating would be turned on that evening. It was on full blast during the night, making it too hot under the covers, and the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. Earlier that afternoon, we’d arrived in Pescasseroli and contacted the manager, who directed us to check in at a campsite about 5 km from Opi, towards Alfedena. The campsite staff were courteous and welcoming. Based on my experience, I’d advise people to think carefully before staying here, and the manager should take customer feedback more seriously. It’s a real shame that the people who live in and run tourist facilities in such a beautiful area aren’t promoting it better.

The room was spotless, down to the furniture, and beautifully decorated with paintings all over the walls. We got the room with a breathtaking view. Check-in was at the other property as requested, only five minutes away, and the guy who greeted us was extremely kind. The location is excellent. If I come back to OPI, I’d definitely stay here again.

B&B without the breakfast. We checked in at the campsite, and the receptionist immediately told us there was no breakfast. So why call it that? The room was ugly, and the Copertino had white stains on it, which was absolutely unacceptable. I wouldn’t stay again.
