Locanda Mulino del Barone by VM

We came for lunch while hiking the trails in November, and left sure I’ll never go back. Though there weren’t many people, our first course took exactly two hours to arrive after we got there at 1:30 PM. It was good quality, but that wait was unbelievable. We felt stuck because we’d already paid, which didn’t seem fair. The owner said the POS was out of power, so we had to pay cash. I’d never heard that excuse before, just recharge it and it’ll work! Wine came only in a 330ml bottle, which I found quite expensive. A complete failure.

We spent three nights here over New Year’s Eve. The hosts were friendly, the room was clean and pleasant, and breakfast was very good. A great stay.

There’s a lovely picnic area by the stream, with tables inside as well as out. We often come back to these wonderful parts to unwind and eat well, and this place has exactly the mix we’re after. The arrosticini are my pick. I think they’re the best, both for the quality of the meat and how it’s cooked. It stays tender instead of getting overdone like it does elsewhere. Congratulations, and I hope to be back soon!

A really awful experience. Everything felt poor quality, and the service was terrible. We waited over an hour, then got peppers and tomatoes instead of the zucchini we’d ordered. They said they’d run out of zucchini. Prices were far too high for the quality, portions and service. There are so many better places nearby. Highly recommended!
