The house wine is worth trying, and the food was delicious for a good quality-to-price ratio. We arrived on Sunday without a reservation and were lucky to get a table. The waiters were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. One of us ordered fish and got to choose it from a plate brought to the table. Some staff spoke enough English for a basic conversation, which I found very helpful.
We were urgently looking for somewhere to grab a quick bite on the long road beside the Mediterranean, on our way to Tuscany. This place was expensive and didn’t suit a quick stop. I had a zucchini and cheese flan antipasto, which was enough for my small appetite. After a few days in Italy, I find the cuisine overrated, much tastier and more varied in Spain.
Don’t let the location put you off, you’d be missing out. The owner was very friendly and the service excellent. We chose the five antipasti samples plus two more, and every one was so good I can’t pick a favorite. My son had pasta with wild boar and wild boar for his second course, while my friends and I stayed with fish. The pasta with rocket pesto, king prawns, and pistachios was the best first course I’ve had this holiday, and the frittura was the best we’ve had this year. Everything was light and delicate, with fresh fish and local products.

We just ate there, so I can’t comment on the hotel. The food was surprisingly good for what looks like a hotel beside the highway. Try the five kinds of aperitifs, they’re a surprise.
