B&B Messapia

The rooms were clean and cozy, with good soundproofing, and the location was quiet. Free parking, too. I did expect a better breakfast, but I’ll definitely come back.

Breakfast was a fun surprise each time, with the owners letting us try local sweet specialties. It’s also easy to reach the medieval center on foot in under ten minutes, and the main road is convenient by car. There’s no reserved parking, but the private road is quiet and we could find a spot easily. The owner takes security seriously, and the video surveillance was an added bonus. This family-run B&B gets five stars from me. I’ve never seen a place so clean and well cared for. The rooms had a TV, air conditioning, minibar, safe, and automatic window and door opening. The bathroom had every personal care and hygiene kit. Truly a perfect choice.

The location is good, close to the center, and the owner was helpful. Breakfast was good, too. When we arrived, though, the room had no towels. I mentioned it and they brought some right away, but one was completely torn and looked like a rag. Maybe it was just an oversight. I was also concerned to find the air conditioning set to 17 degrees, and it seemed not to be working. We spent a dreadful night. I told her in the morning, and she acted on it immediately, so thankfully we managed to sleep the second night.

I called in the evening, and he said he was asleep. I hung up out of politeness and waited until the next day to try again. By then, he’d given the last room to someone else. Unbelievable.
