Agriturismo Il Giglio

We all enjoyed dinner here. The adults got a lot of courses, all cooked perfectly, and the red house wine went really well with the food. The kids had pasta followed by schnitzel and fried potatoes from the child menu. The staff were friendly.

The pork was juicy and good, and the roasted potatoes, cooked in what I think was pork fat, were tasty, though not as crisp as I'd have liked. Dessert was either very cold fruit or ice cream with honey. I couldn't understand why some other tables were offered another main, which looked like meat with olives, and a much more interesting dessert, sebada. We paid 35€ for the set menu. The ingredients seemed fresh and good, and there were some nice appetizers, especially the pickled onions and peppers, but we'd had better cheese, ham, and sausage elsewhere. The fregola with vegetables was good; the ravioli were a bit cold and dry, maybe because there wasn't enough ricotta filling. The meal was decent, but it lacked something, maybe a bit of soul to make you want to come back. It also felt overpriced. 30€ would have been fairer.

Antonella and her mother did their best to make our stay pleasant. They're very hospitable, and the place is family-run. The rooms were clean, breakfast was good, and dinner was a homemade set menu.

There was no dinner, and breakfast was store-bought. We went two minutes down the road to Agriturismo Su Livariu di Teresa Casu and had an authentic experience.
