The garden apartments are a good pick if you want privacy. Service was top notch, with friendly, helpful staff, and the rooms were looked after perfectly. There was lots of choice in the restaurant, though less in the morning.

The beach is a long sandy stretch with sunbeds and umbrellas, about 10 minutes away on foot, and you can book a full pension stay. The hotel has two parts, Giardini and the resort, both in an elegant style. I’d recommend the resort for couples and Giardini for families. There’s also a large wellness area.

My first impression was good. The property is spread across separate areas with a small street between them, but it looks nice and is near a pleasant beach.

The service was awful, and they charged us extra for basic essentials. In the mornings, the water was black with mud.
