On a hot day we came in craving good pasta, thinking we’d found a nice Romanian-owned restaurant. We ordered the swordfish and pistachio pasta. There was a small piece of dirty tissue paper in the food, and the portion for two came on one plate and was tiny, not enough for even one person, let alone two hungry surfers. A child in the restaurant kept making dog noises at us, but not at the other guests, which made us very uncomfortable. Please educate the young, they’re our future. The radio was so loud we couldn’t talk, and other guests were burping and singing along to terrible 2000s music. We gave two stars instead of one because we want to support the local Romanian community. In the end, it wasn’t very Shaka brah.

The owners and staff were kind and very helpful, and the food was excellent. Our room was spacious, very clean, had all the amenities and a balcony, and the bed was comfortable. There’s free Wi-Fi, and the location is handy for the supermarket, tobacconists, bars, and the beach. The price was low compared with what was offered.

The address shown here on maps is wrong. The hotel is right on the corner of Strada 125. The hotel itself was okay, but our towels were dirty, there was no hair dryer, and the room wasn’t very clean. We also found a hair in the bed that definitely wasn’t ours.
