The best thing was how close the hotel is to the ski slopes and lift, right in the village center with lots of nearby restaurants. Our renovated room was fine, and the staff were very friendly. Check-in and service were generally welcoming and straightforward. We stayed in the renovated “old” building. There was a fridge and cutlery, but no sink, so cooking wasn’t possible. That was our mistake for booking the wrong room. Breakfast was a bit of a hassle since we had to wash dishes in the bathroom. The information folder in the room was useful, but the towel arrangement brought the service rating down for us. For two people staying Wednesday evening through Sunday morning, we had four towels total, two small and two large. More towels cost 30€, which honestly felt like a bad joke. The hotel organization should rethink that.

We got exactly the room we’d seen in the photos on Aquila's official website before booking through an external site. Our family of three had an apartment with a private sauna and balcony, and my dad especially loved sitting out there. The plants and flowers in the shared areas and on the balcony were well cared for. Everything was just fine, and the manager clearly explained things and was helpful at check-in. It was a lovely time in Ortisei. We’ll 100% come back on our next Dolomiti trip. 💕

The rooms were clean and comfortable, with everything we needed, and the hotel is in an excellent spot. The service was the problem. Marie at reception was very unpleasant. At 10 PM, we got locked out of our room because our key didn’t match. She told us to go to friends, said there was no evening service, and asked us to speak with her at 7 in the morning. The interaction with her was a very unpleasant experience.

We’ve stayed here for the last three years and will probably keep coming back for a few more. The location is amazing, right in Ortisei’s pedestrian area: the market is across the street, the Seceda lift is three minutes away, and there’s free access to the Dolomiti Mar pool and sauna. The rooms are clean and fine, though nothing special. Staff are friendly, there’s private parking beside the building, and the ski and boot storage is heated. The kitchens are incredibly small. The one thing that really bothered me was the Wi-Fi: it doesn’t work about half the time. If your job needs a reasonably reliable connection, good luck. Most people probably won’t find that a major issue.
