If a quiet rural break is what you want, this place has plenty going for it: fresh air, greenery, animals, meals outside, and chats that make you feel like old friends. Mario is young and energetic, and his family looks after everyone at the B&B like a mother hen. Some guests from the north come back several times a year. The location gets four stars from me: it’s peaceful and timeless, but the sea, tourist spots, town, and shopping centers aren’t close. You can still drive to them fairly quickly. Great value for money, too.

What stayed with me most was how welcome my fiancée and I felt. The owners really pampered us and made it feel like home. We visited last August, staying among the vineyards and olive groves of the Abruzzo countryside. The rooms are spacious and cozy, with their own bathrooms, and breakfast includes traditional foods and fruit from the property. It’s also a handy base for the sea, about six kilometers away, or the Majella mountains.

Our dog settled in just as comfortably as we did. Mario and Tonino were so kind and attentive, and went out of their way to help with all our questions and requests. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back next summer.

Waking up to the rooster was a treat, and breakfast was excellent, especially the grape jam. The owner was incredibly friendly, too. The price felt right for four people staying in August.

The rooms are simple and dated, but they work well as a base for exploring the area. The setting is very quiet, and the owner is friendly and helpful. It’s also well placed for nearby ski slopes.
