We left the car in the garage and enjoyed our weekend in Orvieto. The place was clean, quiet, and perfectly located. Francesca, the owner, was always available and gave us great tips for making the most of our time there.

Whenever I visit Orvieto, I stay with Francesca. She's very helpful, and everything is well cared for and clean. Having a garage right in the center is really convenient. Wonderful, highly recommended!

What a shame. It's hard to believe such a sweet, romantic apartment is owned by two women whose mannerisms remind me of vultures. I'd honestly have preferred the "B&B Michelangeli," but instead I was forced to cancel my Booking.com reservation because of what felt like pure selfishness from both owners. All over €90. Here's what happened. Around mid-February I booked the apartment for a weekend. On February 15th I was urgently admitted to the hospital through the emergency room. As soon as I could contact the owners, I told them I couldn't come with my partner. I had a medical certificate, and had to extend it even today. Their first response was astonishing. They said they'd contacted me on Saturday to confirm I was coming to the apartment. Then they said another client had contacted one of them privately and wanted my dates, so I should move my reservation for someone who was doing things "privately." Absurd, right? The owner also said that if I canceled, I'd get my money back. Then I was told that if they found someone else, we could discuss it privately, but we'd have to wait until Saturday morning, tomorrow, the 22nd, the day of check-in. That already seemed strange, so I called again and got the same answer from the other owner. I understand wanting to push your own agenda, but they said they couldn't believe me and wouldn't care about my explanation anyway. Tired of the situation, I called Booking.com. It was a tragedy, but eventually we got somewhere. I was supposed to provide a document certifying my illness, which is normal under Booking.com rules. But the owner had a request even the receptionist called rather strange: she'd accept my cancellation and refund my €90 only if she found another guest by the next day. Pretty ridiculous, isn't it? With some people, reacting this way apparently seems like the only solution. After this review, I'll write one on Booking.com too, because people should know who they're dealing with. Two unhelpful, business-minded, selfish women who won't help guests even in an emergency, all over €90. I won't show up tomorrow. Even after giving the owner a medical certificate, I refuse to stay somewhere like this, and the certificate now covers me through March 3rd. I want to make one thing clear to the owners: my illness is as real as your dishonesty and lack of empathy. Next time, I'd avoid asking customers to do things "privately" before they even arrive, with lines like "Booking.com sucks and the fees are too high, it's better to do things between us." Edit at 10:05 PM: After calls kept coming from the owners, nothing improved. The person we spoke with was rude and arrogant, blamed the victim, and spent eight minutes asking things like, "What do you do for a living? You don't understand. If my colleague had answered, it would have been worse!" Excuse me, what are you trying to imply? There were other veiled threats too, and it got bad enough that we ended the call. We went from the frying pan into the fire!

It's nice, central, and clean. Francesca welcomed us and our dachshund so warmly. They also have a garage available. I recommend it!
