Agriturismo Azienda Agricola Alfieri

The countryside setting is wonderfully quiet and easy to reach, just outside Osimo, which is well worth a visit. In summer, the sunflower field is a beautiful thing to see when you open the window. The place has a lot going for it, but several things got in the way of enjoying it. The owner’s dog is lovely and cuddly, though it barks constantly, including at night. There are no mosquito nets, so if you open the windows to enjoy the cool evening air and countryside sounds, all kinds of bugs, and other things, get into the apartment. Wi-Fi, which is listed as a service, was out because of a fault. We spent eight days with a poor phone signal, often slow or unavailable, so staying in touch with the outside world was difficult. The furniture is also very Arte Povera, almost antique. That’s a matter of personal taste, but to me it didn’t really suit a country farmhouse.
