1940 Luxury Accommodations by Wonderful Italy

The check-in was a nightmare. We arrived at the agreed time and stood in the rain waiting for someone to let us in. The person who showed up seemed confused, talked nonsense for a few minutes, then left with a shrug. On the first night, the front door lock broke. Reception fixed it quickly after I messaged, but also questioned whether I knew how to use a door lock. Very odd. The location is good, just outside the old town but close enough to walk in quickly. Rooms are nicely furnished and have coffee facilities, but the towels were weirdly small. There's no reception or daily cleaning. Soundproofing was basically nonexistent, especially toward the corridor, so it was very loud. As a light sleeper, I wouldn't choose this place again.

We really liked hanging out on the terrace when we got back to the apartment. The stay felt warm and simple, and everything was super clean and comfortable. Even the entrance and our room smelled nice. They also offer extras like beauty treatments by request, which I'd recommend.

We had such a quiet stay, and the place was beautifully soundproofed. The shared spaces and terraces are lovely, too. Our apartment felt welcoming and spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen, sofa, table and chairs, and a large window looking onto the balcony, plus a TV. The bright, roomy bathroom had an oversized shower with a built-in seat, showerhead, hand shower, waterfall, and jets. In the bedroom there was a king-size bed, a large TV, and two big windows overlooking the square and balcony. The restoration is meticulous, and the old objects sit naturally with the modern touches, understated colors, vaulted ceilings, and frescoes. We have already booked another weekend in September.
