What a disheartening surprise. The apartment was still unfinished, with the renovation clearly a work in progress, and it looked nothing like the photos. The floor was bare screed with no covering, and the missing sliding door frames had curtains hanging in place of doors. There were cobwebs and dead insects throughout, and the cleaning was below standard. The bed and wardrobe were moldy and rotten, leaving the sheets damp, while one side of the sofa had collapsed and the bedroom chandelier was missing. Internet and air conditioning were advertised, but neither was there. I chose this apartment specifically for the air conditioning in Puglia's 35°C heat. I have photos documenting everything I mentioned.

The house is nice and the location is great, but the basics felt far too sparse. The room was damp, there was no closet and no table for eating indoors, among other things. It needs reviewing. A vacation is one thing, but this was too much.

For anyone wanting a week away from city bustle, this is a lovely, peaceful option. The house is self-contained, clean, and has a kitchen equipped for cooking, plus a TV and air conditioning. There are fruit trees and a huge parking area that can fit 3-4 cars. It's a few kilometers from Ceglie Messapica, Ostuni, Cisternino, Martina Franca, and other towns.
