The outdoor kitchen was so well equipped that we cooked most days, with all the cookware, utensils, and even seasonings we needed. The house also had laundry facilities and was thoughtfully set up with everything we needed. We were welcomed with a generous basket after our travels, and the beautiful countryside setting made the stay feel peaceful and special. Mina and Andreas greeted us in person when we arrived and came to say goodbye when we left. They made us feel welcome from the start. Ostuni is a short drive away and lovely to explore, and the house worked well as a base for day trips. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay and would highly recommend it in Puglia.

We spent a long time at Castle Citrignano, and it was the perfect setting for our dream vacation. Andrea and Mina were wonderful hosts, so kind that they now feel like friends. The accommodation was immaculate, with cozy, comfortable beds and a kitchen stocked with all the utensils, pans, and dishes we needed. The outdoor space was the icing on the cake. It’s close to several towns and not too far from the sea, though you’ll need a car. We loved our stay and would highly recommend booking this property.

The property looked just like the photos, maybe even better, and it was the cleanest place any of us had ever stayed. You can tell the hosts take real pride in it. It combines modern conveniences with rustic charm, and we were greeted with a wonderful basket of local treats. I’d highly recommend booking before it fills up!

Andrea and Mina live next door and were so friendly and helpful. They left wine and biscuits when we arrived, then brought us fresh eggs during the week. The villa had everything we needed and more. We especially enjoyed the patio seating and shade umbrellas, the pool for cooling off, and the outdoor kitchen and BBQ. Our group of three adults had a setup that worked well: the main suite has a kitchen, dining area, bathroom, indoor seating, and a double bedroom tucked behind a half-height wall. A second small unit off the patio has its own kitchenette, double bed, and bathroom. I believe the whole villa is always rented together, but you’d need to check. Casale Citrignano di Mina & Andrea is five minutes by car from San Michele Salentino, a small, practical Puglia town with restaurants, petrol, and shops. Ostuni, the ‘White City’, is about 15 minutes away. You’ll need a car for this quiet countryside location, though it makes a good base for day trips to Polignano, Monopoli, Alberobello, Martina Franca, and more. A perfect second week for our two-week Puglian holiday, thank you.
