La Terra

The building is beautiful, the room was clean and nicely designed, and the hotel has the sort of charm I’d expect from a boutique stay. But we ran into some basic problems. Wi-Fi didn’t work in our room or the breakfast area, and the shower was surprisingly tiny for the premium rate we paid, as the attached photo shows. The main issue was noise from bar guests late at night. Even after 10:45 pm, it was loud enough to disturb us, and there’s no soundproofing on the second floor where we stayed. It’s a shame, because the place has real potential and needs more attention to these details to deliver the boutique experience it’s aiming for.

The rooms are very spacious, with magnificent star ceilings, and the staff were very helpful. Their restaurant suggestion was perfect, and the shuttle to the off-site car park was brilliant, they picked us up quickly. La Terra is right in the heart of Ostuni old town, in a very old building with a wonderfully quirky layout.

A lovely palazzo hotel with a terrace offering one of the city’s best views. Service was attentive, breakfast was nice, and the paid parking was cheap and came with a free shuttle. Highly recommended.

The reception team did everything they could to make us comfortable, with restaurant suggestions and an attentive, friendly shuttle service. They even let us check out late at no extra cost. The Deluxe Room was very clean and elegantly renovated, with the feel of a grotto inside a monastery. There’s an elevator, and the Italian breakfast was fresh and generous. A lovely hotel in Ostuni’s old town, and I’d recommend it for a perfect, relaxed stay. Top.
