Trulli 18cinquantanove

I was there between June and July 2025. The trullo is beautiful and has been renovated using all the original materials. Chiara, both the architect and the host, is wonderful: kind, knowledgeable, and happy to share the history of the place and her plans for the future.

The garden is full of scents from myrtle, helichrysum, thyme and rosemary, and the outdoor kitchen is a lovely shared space. Every unit also has its own outdoor corner for privacy. LAMIA PICCOLA is a little gem, comfortable and fully equipped. You can see Chiara’s love for Puglia in every detail of the renovation, which she carried out with care and wisdom. She wasn’t on site during our short stay, but stayed in touch and gave impeccable advice. Ilze, her right-hand woman, is just the sweetest. We hope to come back soon!

We were lucky enough to have the entire property to ourselves for Easter, with four families staying in separate trullo or lamia units. Chiara kindly made that possible. She’s cheerful and empathetic, and welcomes you to a magical place she imagined and created with style and authenticity. It sits in nature, yet the town centre is only minutes away. The setting gives you a peaceful place to relax, spend time together, and enjoy the trulli and the outdoors. It’s also a really convenient base for the area's main attractions. Chiara is thoughtful and professional, with an eye for detail. She’s there when you need her, while giving you tactful space and privacy. Those qualities made the stay especially valuable for us. I’m from Rome and don’t often write reviews, but thought this might help someone coming from out of town who doesn’t know the area or property. I spent the Easter holiday here with my family, though Puglia can be enjoyed in many other seasons too. I travel often and pick beautiful places in interesting destinations, and Trulli 18cinquantanove was a revelation that went beyond my expectations. For all of us, it was a unique experience we can’t wait to repeat. I highly recommend it.

Chiara is delightful and will welcome and pamper you. With highly qualified professionals, she can even arrange wellness treatments under a fig or oak tree, or simply in your room. The coolness and ancient scents of a trullo make this one of the 20 most beautiful places in Puglia for a truly relaxing holiday. Seeing is believing.
