Villa Vanessa

We called before booking and explained that our small, very well-behaved dog would be left alone in the bedroom for a few hours during the hottest part of the day, as we do at home in the cool. We were told it was fine as long as he didn't make a mess. The next day, while we were out, the owner called rather sharply to demand that we go get him. We did, without a problem, but then got another call with insults just because we pointed out we'd agreed on something different. The privacy was awful too: workers were painting the facade right in front of the apartment while I was trying to work remotely, with barely any Wi-Fi. We came back to find the connecting service door between apartments left open, and an electrician had been let in despite our saying we didn't want anyone coming in while we were out. Payment was in cash, with what looked like a receipt that had no number or name on it.

The price is steep for what's provided, and breakfast means going to Eurospin. The owner came across as arrogant and unprofessional. Privacy was nonexistent, with painters, decorators, and other workers wandering around; in the mornings, electric scooters and brush cutters woke us up. The house also needs work: the electrical system needs updating, ceilings are very low, there's often a sewer smell, and the drains don't work properly. I strongly don't recommend it.

We stayed in the lower apartments, and it was a nightmare. The entrances were too low and the bathrooms couldn't be used. Breakfast came from a discount store. We hadn't read the reviews first, so we didn't know what we were getting into. The house was in disrepair and cost far too much, and the owner's tantrums were pitiful.

The service was perfect, and two weeks in this paradise went by like a single day. The apartments are huge and have all the comforts, with a spacious terrace, a lovely garden, and a big courtyard where you can park right next to the house. Thank you for everything! ❤️❤️❤️
