Agriturismo Terra dei Profumi

We had such a warm, fun time at Agriturismo Terra Dei Profumi near Otranto. Dymytro made us feel so welcome, and the home-style food gave us a real taste of what Apulia is known for. Demetrio was the highlight for us, so warm and helpful, always ready to take care of whatever we needed. Gianluca and his mother were lovely too. We stayed four nights and felt right at home. The room was spotless, and breakfast was generous, with plenty of fresh, genuine products. We’d happily recommend the place and hope to return soon ❣️

I came across this agriturismo online and the €22 fixed menu caught my eye. It turned out to include a lot: homemade starters with legumes, vegetables, stewed meat and fried food, two very good first-course tastings, then mixed roast meat with potatoes and salad. Water, wine and service were included, followed by seasonal fruit, dessert and coffee. The staff were kind and professional, and the owners attentive and helpful. I recommend it and will be back.

We had booked a month ahead for New Year’s Eve, but ended up in a gloomy, unwelcoming room beside the kitchen. It looked messy and far from clean, and the chairs were so filthy we wondered if they’d been cleaned in years. We had to leave, with nowhere else to eat. They should have told us from the start if there wasn’t space. The whole experience was disappointing, and management needs a rethink. I can’t recommend it.
