The location was reasonable, but I absolutely can’t recommend this stay. It felt hostile, with poor cleaning, inadequate maintenance and a host who treated guests abusively and disrespectfully. During what should have been a restful holiday, the host’s bad faith left me upset and humiliated. I was first asked to pay a €107.50 security deposit through an external link. When I arrived, the apartment was in bad shape: the living-room air conditioner didn’t work, and rubbish from the previous guests was still in the bins. At checkout, when I reported the problems, I was told the deposit would be charged if I didn’t take the rubbish out myself. A few days later, I was accused of stealing an air-conditioner remote, apparently as a reason to keep the deposit of over €100. The accusation was offensive and made no sense, since the remote’s value was nowhere near the amount being withheld.

The apartment was dirty, with rubbish from the previous guests, and basics like toilet paper were missing. The bathroom door wouldn’t close, the living-room air conditioner didn’t work and the bedroom blind was broken. They charged us a €107.50 deposit, then falsely accused us of taking an air-conditioning remote so they could keep the money. Completely dishonest service and a host acting in bad faith. I absolutely don’t recommend it!

Awful! They first told us there’d be a place available, but when we arrived, they said there wasn’t. Once inside the apartment, we found rubbish left by previous guests and no toilet paper. The bathroom door wouldn’t close, the living-room air conditioner didn’t work, and the bedroom blind was stuck. They make you pay a deposit and then accuse you of taking something so they can keep the money. They accused us of stealing a remote, which we definitely did not take. We’ve started legal proceedings.

We felt at home right away in this newly renovated apartment, with its new furniture and accessories. Both the shared areas and the apartment were spotless and tidy. It’s in a quiet, clean residential neighborhood, literally steps from the seafront and therefore Otranto’s center. Thank you!
