A cozy vintage-style home with a lively feel, and warm, friendly people who were happy to help. From the roof terrace you get a 360-degree view over the city and sea, with the sun rising and setting in sight. A perfect place for travelers in Otranto.

The station renovation project and the thinking behind it were lovely, and our host was kind and helpful. Though it isn't right in the center, the location is very handy, with the city center under a 10-minute walk away. There's a water house and several mini markets nearby. A unique stay in a remarkable place.

This is the terminal station on the line from Maglie, above the town center. You can get down to the center by taking a flight of stairs. But for someone arriving in Otranto for the first time and trying to find their way around with traditional tools, there’s no help at all, not even a simple city map.

Climb the stairs at Otranto station and you find yourself in an almost magical place, with train tracks winding through lush greenery. Getting on a train there feels like stepping into a real-life fairytale. It's a one-of-a-kind station.
