The owner is incredibly helpful and always available. The property feels welcoming, and the rooms are small but cozy, though quite spartan. One downside is the walk to the centre, about 7-8 minutes. Parking is limited, and the centre has a restricted traffic zone.

The owners were kind, but didn’t seem very attentive to details. I’ve always found a few breakfast basics in other apartments I’ve stayed in, like tea bags or a bottle of water for arrival, but there was nothing here. No dish soap either, and not even a bar of soap in the bathroom. It’s a clean place in a convenient location, about a ten-minute walk from the centre, but nowhere near as attractive as the photos. The furnishings are old and the place feels too bare. We didn’t expect much for a beach holiday, but an air conditioner that didn’t make a hellish noise would have helped. Ours seemed vintage. There was no hair dryer, extra pillow, extra towel, or TV in our room. Wi-Fi didn’t reach us, the fridge was unplugged, and a worm crawled into the kitchen sink. There’s a lot of room for improvement. Most of these issues felt like neglect or disinterest, which might have been easier to accept at a lower price. But it wasn’t cheap: they charged just a few cents under €500 for six days in September.

Mr. Antonio and Mrs. Cesarina are such lovely, friendly, helpful hosts. We spent a week in their studio apartment, which was very comfortable, clean, and had all the amenities, including Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and parking. It’s a short walk to the port, town centre, and supermarket. Residence Atenaion helped make our holiday fabulous!

Antonio and Cesarina welcomed us like their own children and made us feel part of the family right away. They were incredibly helpful, and their recommendations led us to some of the best gems in Otranto. We had a wonderful week at the Atenaion residence and will definitely be back!
