Lo Spioncino Apartments

We fell for the Palascìa studio apartment as soon as we saw it and stayed six days. It's a charming, recently renovated place with all the comforts, a short distance from Otranto's city center and beaches. We enjoyed cooking and eating out on the terrace in total quiet. Luisa (the B&B's owner) was incredibly friendly and helpful, and made us feel at home right away. We also liked that guests who wanted to could water the terrace plants. Even that small touch made the place feel like home. Reserved parking was helpful and completely free. If we return to Otranto, we'll definitely stay at Spioncino again.

The recently renovated Palascia apartment was clean and had everything we needed, including working air conditioning and a washing machine. Its location made it easy to explore Otranto on foot, with the port area about 10 minutes away, and there was a parking space right beside the house. I stayed for six days and had a great experience. Luisa deserves a special mention for welcoming us and being so kind and helpful with our requests.

We stayed in the two-room Minerva apartment, which looked like the photos. It's simple but has what you need for a pleasant holiday. The shower is very comfortable, with a showerhead that lets you massage your feet. The kitchen looked new like in the photos, with a gas stove and a large family-size fridge. The air conditioning worked perfectly and cooled the whole apartment in minutes. With both doors open and shutters closed, you can also get a nice breeze without it. There's a small bedroom balcony overlooking one of the parking lots. By the entrance, an outdoor table area is shaded from the sun, so I recommend eating there in the evening. Antonio and Luisa's youthful management is organized, kind, and practical. Luisa welcomed us warmly and had left two bottles of hand sanitizer and a professional 75% alcohol spray for disinfecting, which I appreciated in the current situation. There was dish soap and other cleaning supplies under the sink, too, which isn't always provided. The apartments are in southern Otranto, about a 10-15 minute walk from the center. They provided a parking pass for the southern area, very handy during our July stay. In busier August, you may need one of the two lots beside the apartments, where parking costs €3-5 a day. Helbiz scooters are also available in the area through an app. The location is close to the center but quieter, away from downtown noise. Our apartment had two single bunk beds, useful for families even though the kids sleep in the same room. There's also a three-room option with a separate bedroom for children or another couple. You can pay by card, but the tourist tax has to be paid in cash because it is transferred directly to the municipality. I booked despite some hesitation because there were few reviews, but it turned out to be a pleasant discovery. I highly recommend "Lo Spioncino" for a holiday.
