My friends go here often and love it. The food is good and very rustic. Service is sort of help-yourself, but it works.

We came for the restaurant, not to stay at the agriturismo, and enjoyed it so much that we returned twice. The menu is ample and the prices very reasonable, with excellent meat cooked over a wood fire and very local dishes. Get there by 8 pm to avoid a queue. They use a distinctive ticket-number system, and you collect your dishes when your number is called. That was fine with us, and the kids seemed to love it. A great place with a lovely atmosphere.

The ordering routine and first impression here may seem a little unusual, but don't let that put you off. It's a really good spot for trying down-to-earth Salentino cooking.

The food was so-so, service was nonexistent, and at about 25 euros per person it was much more expensive than anywhere else we tried in Otranto. They kept calling numbers and expecting you to pick up your own food. I went back and forth a hundred times while the kids fell asleep, then waited 45 minutes for fries. This was the worst restaurant I've eaten at in Otranto. Avoid it at any cost if you have kids.
