Masseria Panareo

A quiet, relaxing place in southern Puglia near Otranto, with a nice pool. Dinner came as three courses, with two or three choices per course, and there was a good selection of wines by the glass. Breakfast was a very good buffet with plenty of choice.

The views across the olive trees towards the sea are stunning, and the staff were lovely. The property is spread out, so there’s a bit of walking, but that was fine for us. It’s a unique and beautiful place to stay, with peace and quiet and good food.

Masseria Panareo, our third base. July 5th The views from the beautiful pool and terraces were superb, across the sea and the olive groves. There are cabanas on the terrace for relaxing. The restaurant offers dinner either as a fixed menu or la Carte, and the food was very good. The woman running the place and breakfast was kind and helpful, and the service from all the staff was great. Denny and Prab were especially attentive to guests. We spent happy hour by the pool, relaxing with drinks, including the famous aperol spritz and Denny’s ginger spritz. Around the grounds, we saw grape-laden vines hanging from pergolas, a tennis court and lots of green space. A shaded path lined with trees runs from the main reception building to the parking lot, and it was soothing to walk there listening to nature. It was a very relaxing and beautiful experience, with comfort to the max.

We really enjoyed the farm, especially the garden and pool. Breakfast service could use some work: even an hour before it closed, the full fruit selection and other items weren't available. We mentioned it to the staff. We did have to switch rooms once, but the team kindly offered us a full dinner at no charge, which we appreciated. Thanks for the stay, ciao.
