Masseria Specchiulla

You can get to the sea quickly on foot through the pleasant wooded area around the Masseria. Although little towns are nearby, it still feels secluded and peaceful. The furnished houses feel like home, with all the luxury you need. A beautiful, romantic and relaxing taste of life in Italy, whether you're here as a couple, with family or with friends.

We found it easy to enjoy both quiet time in nature and day trips: Lecce is 30 minutes away by car. The beach is a five-minute walk, and Otranto's gorgeous historic center is a 10-minute drive, so we could spend our days by the Adriatic and evenings in the city. The sea also seems to keep the climate gentler than elsewhere in Southern Italy. The owners are incredibly hospitable and make you feel at ease. A lovely spot on the Salento coast. My favorite part was the peaceful, remote setting and the five-to-ten-minute walk to the sea. I stayed in Casa Pippi, which has no air conditioning, but the rooms stayed cool during the day and at night. The house was clean and cozy, with shaded outdoor seating for hot summer days, a fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher, dining areas inside and out, and two bathrooms, one with a washing machine. A great getaway for family, friends or a partner.

Anne, Stuttgart, a wonderful base for unwinding. The coastline is gorgeous, with lovely beaches for hiking, swimming and sunbathing. Historic towns and places with excellent restaurants are well worth a visit. Italy at its best, l'Italia al suo meglio!
