Palazzo Borgomonte - holiday home

This basic apartment didn’t have much charm or local character, and there were no stone walls. Its location is good, close to the historic center and beach, and the host was very friendly. Parking your car involves a bit of a walk.

Federica was a very attentive and thorough host. The apartment is right in town, in a quiet pedestrian area, and the upper floor has all the comforts needed even for a longer stay. I appreciated the breakfast items, coffee maker and iron. The small balcony and panoramic terrace are its highlights. The heating was especially welcome: the apartment was very warm, which is a plus since well-equipped winter rentals can be hard to find in Otranto. I highly recommend it if you want to stay in the heart of town while enjoying a peaceful spot. Rating: 10

We were three friends staying in unit 1 for seven nights. The village setting kept things peaceful, and even though the place is right beside the road, it was very quiet. It’s about a five-minute walk to both the sea and the village. The unit was spotless, with a double bed, a bathroom with a big shower, and a small kitchen stocked with what we needed to cook. A cot can be added for a third guest. Federica was lovely and ready to help with any request from the beginning. We had a great stay, and I’d recommend this place for a comfortable holiday. Federica made our week at Apartment 1 feel really special. She listened, gave us advice, looked after us, and did everything she could to make things easy. She’s a big part of what makes this place so lovely. My partner, our 18-month-old son, and I loved the apartment’s little details, from the curtains and wallpaper to the lights, decorations, and bathroom tiles. Everything was new and impeccably clean. The kitchen had all we needed, including dishes, a microwave, a moka pot, and a coffee maker. The location is just steps from the historic center, shops, supermarket, and pharmacy. I also spent two days on the terrace, which felt almost magical, with a spectacular view of Otranto and the sea. The lunches delivered by the guys from Scalo 74 were excellent, and we always went there for aperitifs too. It’s hard to put into words how beautiful these mini apartments are. We’ve only been back a day, and I already miss Federica and her Borgomonte. I left my heart there and can’t wait to return.
