We didn't book a room, just went for the spa. It was really relaxing, and the different sections made a nice change from having only a pool and sauna. The scented-water moose showers were something new for us and we liked them. The sauna stayed a bit cool, though. Water on the stones only evaporated over time, and the steam room never really got steamy. Still, the spa was good enough overall.

For what we paid, the hotel was okay. I did think it could use some renovation, based on its style and general condition, though that’s just my view. At the bar in October we barely saw any staff or guests, and there were only three tables and a couch inside. I’d also have liked clearer information about which seasons the pool is open. Breakfast ran until 10:30, but when we came down around 09:55 or 10:00, some things had already run out. Over our four days I never saw anything replenished. There was a sign for scrambled eggs and bacon, but we only spotted them on the last day, at about 9:00.

The pool was clean and looked after, with a little bar serving drinks and snacks. There’s free parking close by, and the hotel is just a short stroll from the seafront. We had an excellent stay.

We had a great time at the Vittoria Resort. It’s an easy walk into central Otranto and a handy base for exploring the area. Service was excellent, the pool area was nice, breakfast was good, and our room was comfortable.

Lovely room, well-kept grounds, and a brilliant pool with an excellent pool bar. Breakfast was excellent too, and the staff were fantastic. It felt like five-star quality and was great value. Highly recommend.
