Tenuta Lu Baroni

The beds were hard as stone, like you’d imagine in a prison, and the thin walls meant we could hear the neighbors loud and clear. The apartment was cold, dark, and poorly equipped, with dirt on the walls and dead spiders on the floor. Breakfast was frustrating: the grapes were foul, the same cake had apparently been sitting there for a week, and there was cereal but no milk, so nobody ate it. It felt like they might have left it that way to avoid buying more. The croissants tasted like the cheapest discount-store kind. The scrambled eggs were incredibly salty, almost impossible to eat. Quality was bad overall. The owner spoke English very poorly and couldn’t understand even simple questions, which made communication impossible.

The Mediterranean views are fabulous, and the service is friendly and welcoming.

The rooms felt dark, and the food was boring.

The view was stunning, and the breakfast was very good. It’s a basic hotel, but really nice, with great, friendly service.
