Casa Adriana B&B

We had a wonderful week here in early August, though it flew by too fast! Elena, the owner, was incredibly kind and helpful, and gave us lots of tips about where to go and eat. Our room was spotless, spacious and practical, with air conditioning that was a lifesaver in that heat. We slept great. There’s a kitchen upstairs and a lovely panoramic balcony we enjoyed in the evenings. Right next to the B&B is the little square in Pachino, with some excellent places to eat, including a great burger joint, a pastry shop and a bar. Pachino is also a handy base for the many beaches and beautiful towns nearby, including Marzamemi, Noto and Portopalo di Capo Passero. Thanks again, Elena, see you next time!

Pachino is well placed for visiting the area's lovely beaches, from San Lorenzo Beach and the Vendicari Nature Reserve to Marzamemi, Portopalo and Isola delle Correnti. Our July stay at B&B Casa Adriana was wonderful. The room was roomy and comfortable, with a little entry area, table, chairs and refrigerator. The hostess even left us cold water and glasses. The double bed worked well for us two, and there was a bunk bed too, so it'd suit a family. The bathroom had everything we needed, and cleanliness was excellent. The room smelled lovely when we arrived. The hostess was flexible with check-in and check-out from the start, and always quick to answer messages with helpful information. One thing to watch out for, unrelated to the B&B: Pachino has lots of blue parking lines, and we got a hefty fine 😅, so be careful where you leave the car!

Great location, but I was disgusted by the state of the room. There was hair everywhere, the linen was DIRTY, and the sheets had dove poop and white stains on them. I slept on the top sheet. Slept is a big word, with the street noise and the bathroom towels too, no comment. No effort to make things right. I called the owner, who said this can happen because there are doves on the terrace. But sheets have to be washed and sanitized. Washing them at home doesn't work for a B&B, there are rules to follow. Don't see us again! Honestly, a "SORRY" isn't enough. We could have agreed on a deal, but yesterday on the phone the owner told me she washed the sheets herself. Check first.

The terrace upstairs is lovely, with space to cook and have lunch, and the view is splendid. The rooms are big and spacious, with fans for hot weather. Cleanliness is top-notch. I read some reviews about the jam jars, but I can assure you nobody had put a spoon in them. The owner, Elena, is kind and friendly. I hope to return soon. Thanks, Elena. I have to admit, this is one of the nicest B&Bs I've ever visited.
