The location made it easy to get around: Marzamemi is 2 minutes away, San Lorenzo Beach 8 minutes, Calamosche 20 minutes, Noto 30 minutes, and Ortigia 55 minutes. We stayed at Villa Ciarusa, and the villa had everything we needed. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place, and the owner was welcoming and very helpful. Ten stars wouldn’t feel like too many.

Salvo was attentive and always ready to help with anything we needed. The accommodation felt modern and had every comfort, while the grounds were clean, well cared for, and really relaxing. It’s an oasis in the desert. When I’m back in the area, I already know where I’ll stay.

The pool was lovely, and the father and son who manage it were so kind and friendly. We’ll be back soon.

The pool was excellent and the location earned two stars from me. I’d have given it three if I hadn’t been told the hot tub was out of service because of a breakdown. For €76, I was basically paying for a swim, since the food was pre-ordered from a local diner. A €5 Corona already felt steep, but the meal prices bothered me more: €7 for a small cutlet with five potatoes, €7 for a small salad, and €7 for one serving of lasagna. At around €35 per person, you can find places with similarly nice pools where the food is cooked for you and you get more to eat.
