The included breakfast was generous and delicious, with savory and sweet options and a different excellent cake each morning. I think Nico made them. Nico was also very considerate of our dietary needs, and each evening brought us chilled water with lemon. The property has a shared kitchen with everything needed for making lunch or dinner, including utensils, and the cleanliness was impeccable. Since the place was full, we stayed in a small but cozy room. It’s a beautiful property in a village of narrow lanes with an old-world feel. In winter, it must be even more charming with the big fireplace lit and snow in the garden overlooking the valley. We arrived at Relais Mastro Cinghiale because of a Hotels.com error, and the property kindly took us in at 8 pm with less than an hour’s notice. Nico, the caretaker and handyman, welcomed us and gave us all the information we needed, along with an aperitif of cured meats and excellent chilled white wine. Thanks to Nico for such a lovely welcome, and to the owner for being so helpful.

The rooms have an old-fashioned style, but they’re very nice, and breakfast was good. Nico welcomed us and made us feel comfortable right away. She was very kind and resourceful. We were offered an aperitif with salami and cheese, plus a bottle of their own white wine. Compliments to Nico.
