We stayed at M14 Hotel & Spa for three days, and the room was small but matched the photos. Breakfast was great, and the staff were happy to answer questions and help with requests. They also have bikes available for anyone who wants to ride around the city. The location is great, right by Prato della Valle and near Padua's historic center. Compared with other central hotels, the price worked for us. I recommend it 👌

The main issue started with the room. I had specifically selected two single beds when booking, and the confirmation showed that, but we were given a double bed instead. We asked right away to be moved, and the staff said there were no other rooms. The receptionist offered us another room that was already occupied, so that wasn't a usable solution. No other real option was offered, and we left without staying. We asked to cancel and get a refund since the hotel couldn't provide what we had reserved. They refused, and I'm still trying to get my money back for a room we never used. I consider this completely unacceptable and very unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone expecting their reservation to be respected. After I posted a review of the complaint on Booking, the hotel's replies were full of lies, as the attached photos show. I shouldn't have had to make a separate request for twin beds when I selected that option during booking. They still aren't trying to solve the problem, just repeating the lies. They gave us the wrong room, wouldn't fix it, and charged us even though we never stayed.

We booked and paid for three nights in a double room. When we arrived around 10:30 p.m. on the first night, it was dirty. We showed the mess to the receptionist, who apologized and said there were no other rooms. She asked if we could spend one night in a single room with a small bed, then move to a deluxe room for the other two nights. We agreed. She said she wouldn't be working the next afternoon, but would arrange it with her colleagues. We left for work the next morning. When we came back that afternoon, the other receptionists had put us back in the same double room and said it had been cleaned. We explained everything again. They rudely insisted we'd paid for a double room, said there were no other rooms, and claimed the receptionist from the night before had denied offering an upgrade. They told us to stay at reception or leave the hotel if we didn't want that room. We then booked a deluxe room at the same hotel through Booking and paid there, but they wouldn't give it to us because they said they hadn't received Booking's confirmation. We showed them the confirmation in our email. After that, they asked us to pay again for the room we'd already paid for before eventually giving it to us. The staff were very rude. Tomorrow morning we're going to ask the manager to sort this out and give our money back. We'll see what happens.

The breakfast was good, and one receptionist was amazing and tried to help us with everything. But the room had serious problems for a three-star hotel. There was no cold water, only hot, so we burned our hands and couldn't shower. We had to wash our hair in the sink, where cold water was the only thing that would run. The water pressure was really low too, and we couldn't flush the toilet. The room itself was good otherwise, but it lacked things a normal hotel should have. For a three-star place, these problems are unacceptable. This was one of the worst hotels I've stayed in.
