The breakfast was lovely, and the rooms felt warm and cozy. Crak Casana is an easy walk away. 6/5 stars 😊

The host made us feel very welcome, and breakfast was tasty, even if it was all sweet things. Then again, you can eat whatever you like in the morning. The B&B brought back memories of staying with my grandparents when I was young. I’d absolutely recommend it.

I was only there briefly for a competition, but it turned into a lovely surprise. The family atmosphere made me feel at home, and breakfast included homemade things. The rooms are simple and clean. Luca, the friendly owner, even drove me to the station early. Highly recommended.

I spent five months here for work, from mid-January to mid-June, and La Porta Tighto became a real home base while I was in Padua, away from Sicily, my family, and friends. Some evenings I ate with Luca and Laura, shared drinks and laughs with them, and played games or watched cartoons with their young son, Leo. I built a close bond of friendship and trust with them over those months. They’re warm, welcoming, and always helpful, and Luca is a capable manager who responds quickly whenever something comes up. I stayed upstairs in a fully equipped studio: a double bedroom, living room, bathroom, and kitchenette. It was bright, tastefully and elegantly furnished, with a striking mix of modern architecture and classic furniture. The rooms are well soundproofed and the heating works very well. The place had been renovated less than a year before, so everything in the rooms was new. The garden brings a bit of greenery and fresh air despite the big city setting. On warm days, it was a nice spot to sit on the sofas with a book or have an aperitif with friends. The area has plenty of shops and supplies, and the location is convenient while still giving you a chance to unwind after a stressful workday. As Luca puts it, “La Porta Tighto is not just a place to ‘sleep,’ but a place to ‘live.’”

The property itself is lovely, and the owner was kind and helpful. Breakfast was good too. But the garden looked neglected, even allowing for it being autumn, and the furniture and linens felt quite dated. There’s good intent here, though still a lot to fix. For the price, I don’t think it’s worth it.
