There was a really bad smell coming from the shower in the room. We were only staying a short time, so we put up with it, and there was nobody at the desk to tell. Aside from that, the rooms were clean, check-in went smoothly, and the lady was kind and very helpful. It’s close to the station.

The room itself was okay, and check-in was smooth. Staff were welcoming, and having an elevator was a plus. But the hygiene really let the stay down. A foul smell came up when I showered, so it was hard to sleep. We thought about asking to change rooms, but it was late and we were checking out the next morning, so we left it. I was most shocked by the used toilet brush, which had little bits of toilet paper stuck to it that weren’t plain white. It made it clear the room hadn’t been cleaned properly, which is unacceptable. I know this wasn’t luxury accommodation, but cleanliness should be basic anywhere. Hygiene is my top priority, and this was the worst stay I’ve had so far. I wouldn’t return or recommend it to anyone.

The beds were narrow, even for single beds, and a bit hard. The pillows were thin, and there was only a thin sheet to cover up with at night. I also woke at 6am because the curtains didn’t cover the whole window and too much light came in. If light bothers you, bring an eye mask. The rooms were very clean, quiet, air-conditioned, and had what we needed for our one-night stay. It has the feel of an old people’s residence turned into a small guesthouse. The girl at reception was helpful and nice. There’s luggage storage, but reception closes from 11:00-16:00. The waiting area has AC, water, and a vending machine. Some furniture and amenities were already worn or broken and need replacing.

We had a terrible stay and terrible service. There were no blankets on my room’s beds, nothing on the beds or in the closets. Two guests in another room had the same problem, so four of us were at reception at 9pm. Reception had been closed since 8pm. We called the “emergency number” given at check-in, but the woman who answered said she managed another hotel outside Padova and couldn’t help. We spent a cold night fully clothed, with the heating off. At checkout the next morning, the man at reception was dismissive. He only made excuses, saying, “it’s getting cold, so we sent summer blankets away for cleaning,” then ignored me and waved me away with “you’re checked out” when I mentioned compensation or an apology.

The outside of this hotel looks rather austere, but inside it’s really nice. My room was a good size, modern, clean, and comfortable, with lots of storage and good WiFi. The bathroom was roomy too, with plenty of cabinet space for toiletries and a good shower. There’s free off-road parking and a lift, which was handy with all my luggage. The train station is a 10-minute walk away and central Padua about 20 minutes. The woman at Reception was welcoming and informative. The only small drawback for light sleepers is the church almost next door. It’s beautiful, but the bells were a nuisance. That’s just an observation for anyone sensitive to noise. A really nice place to stay.
