We slept so well, even with our loud boys along, because the room was peaceful and really soundproof. The beds were extremely comfortable, and there’s a great shower. It has modern updates like electronic key entry, plus nice touches such as robes and slippers in the room. C20 cafe downstairs sells a great breakfast. You can walk to the city center, St. Anthony Basilica, St. Justina Church, which is a must see, and some great gift shops. We also had a great view of the Basilica.

The rooms are clean and modern, with fast WiFi, and we had a great view of the basilica. The location is good and quiet. There’s usually nobody at the front desk, but staff were quick and easy to reach on WhatsApp. To enter the building and room the first time, you need your smartphone and the link they send; after that, you can use the key card left in the room. Checkout is early, at 10:30 am. You can leave your luggage in basement lockers afterward, but when you come back for it, you’ll need someone from the bistro downstairs to let you in, or hotel staff to be around after the bistro closes for the afternoon.

A month after our hotel stay, my credit card bill showed an extra charge of 150 euros. When I asked, the hotel said they believed my child had drawn on a chair and charged us for it. I was shocked. I hadn’t noticed anything like that happening, and we hadn’t given our child that kind of pen. More than that, the hotel took the money without discussing it with us. I don’t think that’s acceptable. If they believed our stay caused damage, they should have contacted me promptly, talked it through, and arranged compensation only after both sides confirmed it. Padova Suite20 apparently sees no need to speak with guests before charging their cards as if they were its own. What appalling behavior!

My family and I had a lovely stay, taking three fantastic rooms. The place was very tidy, well organized, central and well managed, and the price was very reasonable too.
